3 nights in charming Inns

Day 1:

Hotel Ferme de la Rançonnière: in a peaceful village, on the road to the Normandy landing beaches, you will discover a seigniorial farmhouse of the 13th century. Rustic furniture, modern bathrooms.

Suggested drive:

  • Seine Valley, along the high cliffs of the Seine.
  • Giverny, Monet’s house, gardens, workshop and Japanese bridge
  • Rouen, one of France’s most historic cities, largely devoted to Joan of Arc. Old town with half-timbered houses.
  • Etretat , legendary village of the Needle, cut and pierced cliffs, painted by Impressionist painters
  • Honfleur, picturesque seaside port town which inspired many artists: Monet, Renoir, and Cézanne

Day 2:

Ferme de la Rançonnière.

Suggested drive:

  • Cote Fleurie, contemporary “Pont de Normandy” bridge , linking La Havre to Honfleur
  • Deauville, the Monte-Carlo of the north and the American Film Festival venue
  • Caen, the Caen Memorial is a Museum for Peace, covering the Treaty of Versailles to D-Day and the end of World War II.
  • Bayeux, the tapestry of seventy meters tells the story of William the Conquerors Norman Conquest of England.

Day 3:

Le Gué du Holme: charming and refined inn with an excellent restaurant, in a small village, from where you can admire the Bay of Mont St Michel

Suggested drive:

  • D-Day Landing Beaches, Omaha Beach, where American landed on June 6th, Arromanches and its artificial piers, American Cemetery at Colleville, Pointe du Hoc
  • Bocage Normand, cultivated countryside fields that are cut by tight hedge-rows rooted in high walls of earth
  • Mont St Michel, is a stupendous monument. La Merveille is the Gothic building dating back from the 13th century.
Price: $522 per person double occupancy, including: three nights accommodation at the above chateaux in rooms with private bath/shower; 3 continental breakfast, and 3 dinners, “economy” size car with unlimited mileage for 3 days, VAT, collision and theft insurance included.

All of the above services included + English speaking driver-guide at disposal 12 hours per day, for 4 days. Guide’s accommodation and meals included as well as tolls and parking fees.
