Life in a castle
2 nights including 1 gastronomic dinner
Day 1:
Drive from Paris to the Chateau de Chambord,
Francois’1st impressive residence. Have a wine tasting in Vouvray,
and then continue on to Chateau de Chenonceau straddling
the River Cher.
Night at Chateau de Montgouverne
Day 2:
Discover the famous gardens at Chateau de Villandry.
You can also stop by the “Sleeping Beauty Castle” in Ussé.
Drive to Chateau d’Azay-le-Rideau. Dinner at the
gastronomic troglodyte restaurant Les Hautes Roches, carved in the clay
caves and overlooking the Loire.
Night at Chateau de Montgouverne
Day 3:
Start the day in the beautiful renaissance town of
Amboise. Take time to stroll the winding streets. After
visiting the medieval castle head to Le Clos Luce to visit the mansion where
Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years.
Be sure to stop at Chartres to visit the cathedral on your
way back to Paris.
Price: $473 per person double occupancy, including: two nights accommodation at Chateau de Montgouverne in superior rooms with private bath; continental breakfast daily, one dinner (wine included), an “economy” size car with unlimited mileage for 3 days, VAT, collision and theft insurance included. Supplement for automatic car $45. Price subject to change due to exchange rate.
